Make Creativity a Habit Workshop Series
Make Creativity a Habit is a workshop series held over 5 weeks that is focused on practicing playful art making. Lacking creativity? Don’t feel like a creative person? Need an outlet to cope? Join this workshop series to create an art journal using a new technique each week and practice focusing on the process of creating art! Focusing on the process of making art – rather than the product is a powerful tool to explore playful creativity. We don’t need creative careers, art degrees, or art studios to start a creative practice. We will practice the most important part of creativity – the process of making art – to make being creative a regular and achievable habit in our lives.
Week 1: Gel Plate Printmaking
Week 2: Reverse Watercolor
Week 3: Linocut and Block Printing
Week 4: Mixed Media Collage
Week 5: Meditative Drawing
All workshops in this series provide an abundance of supplies, creative prompts, and plenty of guidance to support open-ended creativity. We will work in a fun, welcoming, and supportive environment, creating community as we go. All supplies for each workshop will be provided, and you will also get supplies to take home with you. At the end of the series, you will have everything you need to continue your playful and creative art practice.
All skill levels welcome. Experience levels from novice to professional will benefit from this series.
