Practice Gel Plate Printing, the art of building texture and color with printing inks on gel plates and printing on paper! This is an adult open studio time without specific project instruction. Guidance will be provided and questions are encouraged! Basic supplies will be available, including access to gel plates, brayers, printing inks, and mixed media paper. Or bring your own supplies. Practice Linocut and Block Printing, the art of carving linoleum style blocks and printing on paper! This is an adult open studio time without specific project instruction. Guidance will be provided and questions are encouraged! Basic supplies will be available, including carving tools, pink pearl erasers for carving, ink pads, and mixed media paper. Practice Meditative Drawing, the art of drawing freeform doodles and organized patterns to create complex images in black and white or color! his is an adult open studio time without specific project instruction. Guidance will be provided and questions are encouraged! Basic supplies will be available, including tempera paint sticks, markers, gel pens, paint pens, and mixed media paper. Or bring your own supplies. Admission is free, with an optional pay-what-you-can model for supplies. Registration required.


Maker Meetup: Collage Club

Collage Club members get a starter kit with everything you need to assemble collage. Kits include precision scissors, exacto knife, glue stick(s), matte medium/mod podge, tweezers, double sided tape runner, inspirational stickers, and a zippered pouch to hold supplies.
Surfaces to be collaged will also be provided. Each week will focus on different prompts. Prompts and tips will be discussed at club time and also delivered via email. So if you can't make a session you won't miss out! As a club, we will also pick a few additional open studio times to meet up. Club meetings include drinks and snacks.

Printing Club members will have access to all supplies needed to make dynamic mono prints. Using botanicals, stencils, found objects, texture tools, a variety of paper types, and magazine images, we will build layers of color and texture on gel plates. Club members will have access to printing inks, heavy-bodied acrylic paint, and paint pens. Each week will focus on different techniques and prompts. Techniques will be demonstrated and tips shared, making this club open to all levels of experience! As a club, we will also pick a few additional open studio times to meet up. Club meetings include drinks and snacks.
Week 1: Building layers - exploring texture and color
Week 2: Exploring paper weights - tissue paper to card stock
Week 3: Botanicals - printing leaves and flowers
Week 4: Negative image printing from magazine pictures
